India: 108 Ambulances to be relocated to Strategic Locations during Diwali


  Jaipur: The 108 ambulances will be deployed at strategic locations to respond in least possible time to emergency calls during Diwali.  GVR EMRI, which is operating the 108 ambulances in the state under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), has decided to relocate seven ambulances from their usual locations to strategic locations to decrease the response time.  EMRI claimed that the planning of ambulance deployment is based on research on seasonal trends, pattern of emergencies and study of number of accidents in the last five years during the festival.

New Delhi: Road accidents kill a person every 4 minutes in India and most of these deaths can be attributed to poor trauma treatment facilities. India: 150 More Ambulances to Boost Healthcare


Bangalore: In a boost to emergency servicesin the state, 150 more ambulances will be rolled out under the ArogyaKavachascheme.Having attended to 25.23 lakh emergencies so far, the government-run 108 Emergency Services scheme has stepped into its sixth year of operations.  A joint initiative of the government and GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI), the scheme has seen several upgrades. India: Ambulance Service for Kids, Women Next Month


Allahabad: Health minister Ahmad Hasan on November 6 Wednesday said that an emergency ambulance service (102) for women and children would be rolled out next month. Stating that the state government has already sanctioned Rs 100 crore for the service, the minister claimed that on an average, one lakh patients were availing the emergency ambulance service (108) every month.
