Bahrain: First Responders, Doctors Preparing for Potential Injuries at Formula One Race


More than 200 medical professionals will be on hand at this weekend\'s Formula One race.\r\nDoctors volunteering for the 3-day motorsport spectacle at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) will also fly in from as far afield as Canada and the UK, as well as from neighbouring Saudi Arabia. There will be 11 stationed ambulances, seven spectator clinics and a medical team of first aid volunteers, said BIC chief medical officer Dr Amjad Obeid.

Bangladesh: Chittagong braces for Mahasen Disaster


Shipping circles are now in fear of the possible strike of the cyclonic storm 'Mahasen', saying once the storm crosses Bangladesh; it will seriously affect the country's external trade. Bangladesh: 1,327 Medical Teams Ready to Tackle ‘Mahasen’


Dhaka: A total of 1,327 medical teams have been kept ready in 13 coastal districts to provide emergency medical services if cyclonic storm ‘Mahasen’ hits Bangladesh.Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque said this at a briefing held at the Health Ministry on May 15 Wednesday. “There are 6 doctors in each team,” he said. “Necessary medicines have already been sent to the districts and the holidays of officials and employees of different bodies under the Health and Family Planning Ministries have been cancelled,” the minister added.He also said a total of 2,968 permanent and temporary shelter centres have been kept

Bangladesh: The Government is taking the Life Support Services to the District Hospitals


Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque on June 18 Tuesday inaugurated beds and equipment for setting up Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at district hospitals in a move “to take sophisticated healthcare to grassroots”. Bangladesh: Rotary Club Donates Ambulance to BSMMU for Palliative Care


Dhaka: Rotary Club of Metropolitan Dhaka donated an ambulance to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for home medical services for palliative care, said a press release. Rotary Club of Metropolitan Dhaka President Syed Mahbubur Rahman handed over the ambulance to Prof Pran Gopal Datta, vice-chancellor of BSMMU at a function in the city recently.
