China: Call the Air Ambulance: Medical Helicopters Tipped for Future China Boom


Singapore/ Beijing:  As China opens up its low-level airspace to civilian aircraft; the global aviation industry is laying the groundwork for a boom beyond private business jets and pilot training schools - with the purchase of fleets of air ambulance helicopters.\r\nThe freeing up of airways previously reserved for military use is a huge opportunity for Norbert Ducrot, head of Airbus Group\'s helicopters unit in China. Ducrot says there could be enough demand for more than 3,000 emergency medical choppers in China - up from as few as about 20 now in service.

China: China Sets up First UAV Emergency Rescue Team


China\'s first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) emergency rescue team has been established in Beijing. The UAV is expected to undertake tasks that include search-and-rescue missions and relief airdrops.\r\nWith a 2.96-meter-long wingspan, a petrol-powered UAV is the biggest one among all the vehicles in the rescue team. Its flight speed can reach 150 kilometers per hour, and its maximum flight altitude is 4 kilometers.

China: China’s First Emergency UAV Rescue Team


Earlier this month, China has launched the first-in-the-country emergency rescue team that will use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Beijing Daily reports.\r\nSix UAVs are now primed and ready for rescue missions at the training base of the Ministry of Civil Affairs located in Changping district. The drones in the service come in 2 types: fixed- and rotary-wing, to cover different mission profile requirements.

China: Church Holds Emergency Medical Aid Training to Encourage Believers to Be Good Samaritans


Beijing: On July 9, a suburban campus of the Beijing Haidian Church held an emergency-medical-aid themed health public lecture for its congregations. Speedway Aid Network, a Non-governmental aid organization, was the main speaker for this event.\r\nCombined with the handbook for first-aiders of the Red Cross Society of China, the lecturer explained and directed several emergency aid projects including CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation), binding up traumas, handling burns and scalds, stanching bleeding and airway obstruction rescue with the reference to a large number of emergency aid practice sessions. China: Beijing holds first nuke security emergency drill


Beijing: China has successfully held its first comprehensive nuclear security emergency drill as the country embarks on a major expansion of nuclear power, a civilian ministry has said.\r\nCode-named as “Fengbao-2016,” the drill was held to test and improve China’s security-incident response mechanism, said the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence. The drill, which was neither scripted nor had a pre-planned result, tested the effectiveness of the nuclear security system, the administration said.
