Pakistan: Sialkot Health Department Gets 6 more Ambulances


Sialkot: The Punjab government has provided six more ambulances to Sialkot Health Department for expanding its 24/7 maternity health services to three more basic health units (BHUs) in the district.Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Dr Farrukh Naveed said on 11 March(Sunday) that now the 24/7 maternity health emergency services had been expanded to 28 BHUs, out of total 88 BHUs, in Sialkot district.

Pakistan: Moto-Ambulance Service of Rescue 1122 RWP to be Inaugurated Formally On Mar 21


Rawalpindi: Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi will formally inaugurate its moto-ambulance service here which was started earlier on trial basis in the city.Talking to APP, District Emergency Officer (DEO) Rawalpindi Dr Abdul Rehman informed that 100 motorbikes have been provided to Rescue Rawalpindi for the service. He said, the service was started here on trial basis.

Pakistan: ¡®Find My Doctor¡¯ to Launch Air Ambulance Service


Find My Doctor is set to launch Air Ambulance service in the country from March 23.In an announcement, the start-up stated that the service will be the “fastest method of transporting critically ill patients/dead bodies from one facility to another.”“This kind of a service has never been introduced in Pakistan by a start-up,” according to the press release.

Pakistan: Heatstroke Centre Set Up in Clifton


Karachi: With temperatures expected to remain well into the high 30s for the next few days, the Sindh chapter of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society has established a heatstroke centre at Hilal-e-Ahmer House near Teen Talwar, Clifton to facilitate people.Keeping in view the rising temperature, the centre has been set up to assist people who may be suffering from heatstroke and create awareness about the steps that can be taken to prevent it. The centre offers water and juices to commuters and pedestrians to combat dehydration and any heat-related health emergency.

Pakistan: Emergency Fire and Rescue Night Exercise Carried Out at Airport


Peshawar: Emergency fire and rescue night exercise 2018 was carried out on Thursday (5 April) at the Bacha Khan International Airport.The exercise was arranged by Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Peshawar. Fire and rescue branch of the CAA including CAA medical, provincial Health Department airlines, Airport Security Force and other agencies participated in the exercise.
