China: Top Health Official Calls for Emergency Medical Aid System to Include more People


A top health official on Tuesday (June 30) said health authorities at various levels in China should improve their emergency medical relief systems to cover all those in need.\r\nHospitals should provide medical aid according to relevant standards and regulations to anyone suffering serious diseases who cannot afford medical bills or whose identity is not known at the time of treatment, said Ma Xiaowei, vice-minister in charge of the National Health and Family Planning Commission. China started to establish a nationwide system to provide emergency medical relief to special groups in need in early 2013.

China: 600,000 Chinese Doctors Sign Petition against Hospital Violence


A total of 600,000 Chinese doctors have signed their names to an online petition calling for the end of violent attacks on medical workers after a physician was injured by her patient in South China\'s Guangdong province on Wednesday(July 15).\r\nAttacks on healthcare workers have triggered public outrage, especially in the medical sector. As of Sunday(July 19), more than 600,000 doctors had signed their real names to join the social media campaign.

China: PLA Holds Nuclear Emergency Medical Rescue Drill


A nuclear emergency medical rescue drill codenamed \"Medical Service Force – 2015C\" was held in July at a training base of the PLA Academy of Military Medical Sciences (AMMS). This is the first full-element drill held by the PLA\'s nuclear emergency medical rescue force at a training base.\r\nAs of 2015, China has more than 50 nuclear power generating units including both in operation and under construction with its total capacity ranking the fourth place in the world. It is critical and of great significance for China to strengthen its nuclear emergency medical rescue capability.

China: China Promotes Nationwide Telestroke Rescue Network


The Chinese Strategic Alliance for Industrial Innovation Technologies in Diagnoses and Treatments of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases and IVT Technology (Beijing) Co. China: Emergency Measures to Prevent Secondary Disasters in Tianjin Blasts


Emergency measures have been adopted in Tianjin to prevent secondary disasters 3 days after the deadly explosions hit the port city.\r\nSo far it\'s been reported that 112 people have died in the massive warehouse explosions that occurred on Wednesday(August 19) night.The rescue headquarters says that there have been no deaths among the 722 people who are currently hospitalized including 58 who are in a critical or serious condition.
