Tagbilaran city: You witness a disaster, accident or a crime unfolding and you want to call for help, but your mobile phone’s load is not enough for a call, or composing lengthy messages may be too time consuming, what do you do? Philippines: DOST to Launch Project Moses


Butuan: The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will launch project Mobile Operational System for Emergency (Moses) which complements the operation of the project NOAH or Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazard. The department will pilot test Moses which will be done on the onset of the National Science and Technology week celebration on July 22 said DOST-Caraga Regional Director Dominga Mallonga during the recently held Regional Summit on Disaster Risk Reduction Management.  Moses uses mobile tablet computers designed by DOST for hazard monitoring and evacuation assistance. Philippines: Davao City Welcomes Holding of Flash-flood Drill

Dr. Peter Mancao, the medical director for the Cobra Iron Man 70.3 Philippines, said everything’s set for the race slated to start on August 4.
