China: New First-aid Dispatch Stations to be Built


Beijing: According to the Beijing Red Cross, 20 new first-aid stations will be built by the end of 2013, and the number of first-aid stations will reach 150, the Beijing Daily reports. Deputy Director of Beijing Red Cross LüShijie said that the new stations will be built in highly populated areas such as urban residential communities and areas with dense traffic. China: Dispatcher Refocuses on Emergencies


Shanghai: The Shanghai Medical Emergency Center will begin distinguishing between emergency and non-emergency calls to better deal with the city's ongoing shortage of emergency medical personnel, local media reported on September 03 Tuesday. "The new measure aims to ensure that ambulances staffed with doctors are sent only to people with real medical emergencies," said Guan Min, the director of the Shanghai Medical Emergency Center. China: Pingnan Gets Health Emergency Rescue County Status


Pingnan County, Fujian province passed a provincial Health Department analysis, on Aug 2, to become the first demonstration county for health emergency rescue services in the city of Ningde. The Health Dep’t team watched an application video that Pingnan prepared and listened to a related report, then visited its health department, disease control center, hospital, and schools to see whether the emergency aid team and resources are good enough and asked some questions on emergency aid. China: First-aid Training Center Opens in Zhangjiagang


  A first-aid training center by the Red Cross Society Zhangjiagang branch opened to the public in Zhangjiagang of Jiangsu province on September 14, 2013. It is the first of its kind in the city. Training equipment at the new center is more complete than previous temporary training centers. Residents are free to choose training times. Ten trainers gave lectures as well as demonstrated and answered questions on knowledge and skills of first-aid concepts, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and injury treatment. Cai Xian, vice-president of the Red Cross Society Zhangjiagang branch, said that the first Sunday of every month will be opening day.
