China: Beijing Launches Air Ambulance Service


Beijing is to establish an air emergency medical service network by the end of the year. As well as that Beijing Red Cross 999 Emergency Center is planning to launch the first air rescue insurance by year end. It is hoped it will help cut service expenses remarkably. An Air ambulance service began in Beijing in 2011; it now costs some 30-thousand-yuan per hour.  "Using helicopters to airlift patients must be a big trend, for it could help the patient get timely treatment. China: Typhoon Soulik Hits Pingtan as Authorities Launch Emergency Response Mechanism


Pingtan County in east China's Fujian province launched its first-grade emergency response mechanism ahead of the typhoon which landed on the province's central-northern coast on July 13 Saturday. Torrential rains have lashed Pingtan since July 13 Saturday night with precipitation of up to 250 millimeters for some areas. The preventative measures taken by the authorities also include a halt in the construction work of the Yapping Interchange, and most of the workers were transferred to a nearby school. China: First Aviation Rescue Training Base in Henan


China's first aviation rescue training base was launched in Anyang City of Henan Province on July 16. It will train 100 pilots, including 50 men and 50 women. Besides, it plans to create a total 850 international standard aviation emergency rescue bases across China. "When the Emergency Relief Promotion Center of the Ministry of Civil Affairs was established in 2005, it didn't have the concept of aviation emergency rescue until 27 academicians put forward the idea of establishing a national aviation emergency rescue system in 2009. China: Shanghai to Enhance Emergency Care Efficienc


Shanghai: Shanghai will strengthen its management of pre-hospital emergency care and improve the efficiency of emergency work, according to the city's health department. Patients should be transferred to hospitals nearest to their homes and, when an ambulance arrives at a hospital; medical staff should complete the transition within 10 minutes, according to a regulation released by the Shanghai Health and Family Planning Commission earlier this month. China: Summer Injuries, Parents Imparted Training


Beijing: The incidence of accidental injuries for children is higher in the summer, the Beijing Times reports. Historically, the seasonal rise in pediatric injury cases in Beijing starts from July.  Statistics show that more than 26 percent of deaths in children are caused by accidental injuries, a number that is increasing by 7 to 10 percent every year.   The Beijing Emergency Medical Center recently invited 300 parents and children to learn about safety measures.
