India: Now Aadhaar Card is Necessary for Use of Ambulance in UP


Bijnor: Now if a patient calls an ambulance, he has to show his Aadhaar Card. The Uttar Pradesh government has made the Aadhaar card mandatory for availing the free ambulance service.\r\nAccording to the officials, many times the ambulance driver used to call fraudulent calls and used to demand money for oil. Aadhaar card has been made mandatory to deal with such irregularities. Bijnor\'s CMO Suhvir Singh said, \"The government has not fixed any date for compulsory Aadhaar card.\"

India: CM Das pledges 24/7 ambulance service, helpline to reduce accident toll


Jamshedpur: Jharkhand will have its own fleet of highway ambulances from July, chief minister Raghubar Das promised on 18 June.\r\nThe state government would launch a fleet of 50 ambulances equipped with life support systems on highways in July and increase the number to around 300 by November 15, Jharkhand\'s statehood day, the chief minister told the media this afternoon on Surya Mandir premises, stressing his government\'s urgency to push for 24/7 medical assistance to reduce highway casualties.

India: HC: Set Up Trauma Centre in Deoghar


Ranchi: Jharkhand High Court has directed the state government to ensure that a trauma centre is set up in Deoghar before the forthcoming Shravani Mela. A division bench of acting Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice B.B. Mangalmurti, while hearing a public interest litigation today, also directed the government to provide mobile clinics stocked with medicines and ample manpower to cater to the people who visit the temple in Deoghar during the annual pilgrimage.\r\nThe trauma centre should be well equipped with medical equipment and trained personnel who should run the centre round-the-clock, the judges said.

India: DDADU Launches Ambulance Service


Dimapur: Dimapur District Auto rickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has acquired an ambulance that will cater to medical emergencies of its members and to the public at nominal rates.\r\nAddressing the gathering at the premises of DDADU office after inaugurating the vehicle, Parliamentary Secretary for Economics & Statistics, Tovihoto Ayemi lauded the Union for acquiring the ambulance to serve their needs and the public as well and described it as an “excellent and noble project.”
