Mumbai Ambulance Drivers Worsen Injuries

Mumbai: While Chennai traffic authorities have been getting kudos for their ambulance-friendly traffic system, Mumbai's ambulance drivers have been drawing flak for their patient-unfriendly ways.

The Association of Medical Consultants (AMC), a group of 7,000 super specialists, contends that the city's ambulance drivers add to the pain and injuries already sustained by patients. "Drivers of these vehicles do not adhere to international norms of driving," said AMC president Dr Sangita Pikale.
