Mock Car Wreck Teaches Youths about EMT Procedures


In perhaps one of the strangest-looking T-bone wrecks ever seen, two damaged cars were placed in a small, empty parking lot on June afternoon near the West Lafayette High School athletic complex.

A group of high school students watched as professional emergency responders pulled two volunteers from the cars and carried them on stretchers to an ambulance. The purpose was to give students a first-hand look at what it's like to be an emergency medical technician.
