Chennai: Global Hospitals imparted some basics of trauma care to 500 of the city’s auto-rickshaw and cab drivers, who are most likely to ferry the injured person to a hospital.
Arranged by Global Hospitals, trauma care experts demonstrated basic life support training programs to auto and cab drivers. “A few minutes of delay can leave a person brain dead,” said Dr K R Rammohan, head of trauma and emergency care, Global Hospitals.
Techniques such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) amongst others were demonstrated by a team of physicians to those present. |
