Kochi: As the monsoon continues to grow muscle, the Vypeen Fisheries Station has put up a proposal for a sea ambulance-cum-rescue boat to meet the challenges posed by an unusually rough sea.
The need for its own ambulance, equipped to handle emergencies, has been highlighted by 2 recent accidents involving fishing vessels in Fort Kochi. Both the accidents involved traditional fishing boats, which ran into sand bars off Fort Kochi where beach formation has been rapid. |
