Davao City: Davao City has prepared its safety and rescue management unit in the event of storm surges and tsunamis, an official of the Central 911 said on May 21 Wednesday.
Emmanuel Jaldon, chief of Central 911, said an integrated evacuation plan or exit plan of the city has already been completed."We are now putting in the necessary tools to support the plan. Just be aware that this plan involves different barangays, especially in the coastal areas vulnerable to storm surges and tsunamis," he said during the AFP-PNP press conference. He said 12 coastal barangays have been classified as vulnerable to these calamities and emergencies. |
