Patient Too Heavy for Ambulance Transfer

The Fire and Rescue Department had to be called in to help transfer an overweight patient from the Banting Hospital to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang, reported Berita Harian.

According to the daily, the 200 kg patient, Norfaizah Mohamad Rashid, 31, had to be transferred because she was suffering from a serious lung problem.

Five people, including firemen from the Putrajaya station, loaded the patient onto a 5-tonne lorry because her weight made it impossible for her to be transported on a normal ambulance.
