Laoag City: The Laoag City police have started keeping watch of the city’s peace and order in line with the observance of the Holy Week. Police Supt. Jeffrey Gorospe, city PNP chief, said uniformed policemen have been deployed around destination areas where droves of tourists usually flock.
“We have established motorists' assistance posts in main tourist destinations such as in Fort Ilocandia in Barangay Calayab and Sand Dunes in Barangay La Paz,” Gorospe said.
He said the police are also keeping tab of motorists’ assistance calls in emergency situations. |
