Nueva Vizcaya Disaster Body Push for Skills Trainings

Bayombong: A series of skills trainings which can be used by volunteers during disasters and calamities have been proposed here by the officials of the Provincial Disaster Risk Management Reduction Council (PDRRMC) to empower Novo Vizcayanos in mitigating the effects of climate change.

Evaliza Agamata, PDRRMC action officer said the trainings will cover basic rescue skills such as basic life support, first aid, ropemanship, emergency rescue transfer, water safety, boat manoeuvring and field training exercises.

"These trainings will be participated by our local government units so that they can be easily tapped as our counterparts in the affected municipalities during disasters and calamities," she said.
