Ranchi: Finance minister Rajendra Prasad Singh on February 21 presented a budget worth Rs 50,386.70 crore for the financial year 2014-15 in the Jharkhand Assembly on February 21 Friday.
Singh said the state government had planned to open new medical and nursing colleges in the state on the Public Private Partnership mode. Land will be allocated as per requirement, he said. Emergency ambulance service with the telephone number 108 and health information helpline number 104 will soon be started in the state. The state contribution to the Janani Suraksha scheme will be doubled, the finance minister said. |
