Puducherry: A department of trauma care and emergency medicine would be established at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Puducherry, director general of health services Jagdish Prasad said on February 14 Friday.
JIPMER would offer a 3-year postgraduate programme in trauma care and emergency medicine from the 2014-15 academic year, he said.
Speaking at the International Summit on Emergency Medicine and Trauma (ISEMT 2014) at the institute, he said JIPMER has become the apex trauma care centre in south India. |
