Taipei: Taiwan has recorded more than 40 cases of sudden death since a cold front began affecting the island Feb. 8.
Statistics from fire departments of major cities and counties around the island show that since that day, they had been called out to attend 10 sudden death cases in Taipei, while surrounding New Taipei reported 19 such deaths.
Taoyuan County reported 4 deaths, and the emergency health care system in Taichung, central Taiwan, reported 10 fatalities, mostly caused by strokes and cardiovascular problems. |
