Automated, Green Ambulance for Dubai


The most technologically advanced and the first green ambulance will be seen on Dubai roads within a month.

The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), that has completed 37 years, launched and exhibited the ambulance at the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre on January 27 Monday.The huge ambulance, said to be only a few vehicles of its type in world, was delivered by Horton recently.

Khalifa Al Drai, executive director of DCAS said that a total of seven such vehicles will be used here. Giving details, he said that as soon as the vehicle will be switched on, an automated report of the patient and accident will be sent to the control room at the DCAS. The vehicle is the first green vehicle in the country and uses solar panels to operate. Its automated system also make the interior bacteria-free.
