Chennai: Patients in emergency taken to Stanley Medical College and Hospital need no longer be moved to different buildings, wasting a chunk of the golden hour. The hospital has planned to bring all its emergency services under one roof. A multi-storey building for emergency cases will be inaugurated within a week.
By bringing all intensive care units and emergency services in one place, the hospital aims to have better co-ordination among doctors, nurses and paramedics who deal with cases like casualties, stroke and heart attacks, said a senior doctor at the hospital. |
