Fiji's Cabinet has approved a memorandum of understanding between Fiji's National Fire Authority and the Department for Fire and Disaster Handling of Jakarta, Indonesia, the Fijian government announced December 6 Friday.
According to the Ministry of Information, the MoU will allow for cooperation between the two agencies with regard to exchange and sharing of information and mutual experiences relating to firefighting and emergency rescue operations, enhancement of capacity building and firefighting skills, and promotion of networking and strengthening cooperation for mutual benefit.
