Bangalore: In a boost to emergency servicesin the state, 150 more ambulances will be rolled out under the ArogyaKavachascheme.Having attended to 25.23 lakh emergencies so far, the government-run 108 Emergency Services scheme has stepped into its sixth year of operations.
A joint initiative of the government and GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI), the scheme has seen several upgrades. "We have upgraded our emergency response centre software and merged the communication officer and dispatch officer processes to reduce call-handling time, and improved the speed of ambulance dispatches," said GVK. |
