The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has initiated the process of international urban search and rescue's (INSARAG) accreditation certification. In this regard, a UN OCHA team headed by Ms Annette Hearns on October 26 Saturday visited the Emergency Services Academy for initial assessment. She reviewed the Disaster Response Exercise, which included management, rescue, and search, medical and logistic.
The Urban Search and Rescue Team of Rescue 1122 is headed by Dr Farhan Khalid, Dr Ali Imam Syed, Mohammad Ahsan, Jam Sajjad Hussan, Abrar Hassan, Farhan Mirza, Ali Raza Baig and comprised 60 rescuers that demonstrated the exercise. |
