Islamabad: The Society of Emergency Physicians Pakistan (SEPP) has strongly stressed the need for revamping current emergency departments’ system and deploying well-trained emergency physicians in all public and private sector hospitals across Pakistan.
They urged the government to overhaul the emergency departments as these are the first place where a patient’s life can be saved by providing prompt medical care. The first-ever meeting of the SEPP northern chapter was held at the Shifa International Hospital (SIH) on Thursday, which decided to actively campaign for promoting this new and very crucial field as an acknowledged specialty in the country. |
