Ranipet: The inauguration of an Accident & Emergency Department, a 24-hour pharmacy and a prayer hall at Scudder Memorial Hospital, Ranipet (in partnership with Christian Medical College Hospital, Vellore) marked the Hospital Day celebration,, on September 4,s in the 147-year-old hospital on Tuesday.
Constructed at a cost of Rs.1.25 crore in memory of Harriet Scudder, wife of John Scudder, the first American Medical Missionary in India, the Accident & Emergency Department is a project executed by the Scudder Memorial Hospital (SMH) in collaboration with the Global Mission of the Reformed Church of America (RCA) to cater to the need of trauma patients, whose number is increasing by the day. |
