Doha: Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) has started conducting several first aid training courses and the first such course was conducted on August 26.
People attending these courses will be trained to provide assistance to the sick and injured victims of various incidents. It will also familiarise people and volunteers with modern and up-to-date methods of first aid to help those affected, introducing the principles of QRC and the International Federation, instill a sense of teamwork in the volunteers and to provide initial response to help mitigate the impact of emergency situations as much as possible.
“Qatar Red Crescent appeals to all government and private institutions and educational institutions in various categories to activate the role of first aid in the community through their participation in these courses,” Al Bast said. |
