Bangkok: The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology has just introduced a software called “ilert u”, aimed at providing emergency medical assistance on smart phones.
The “ilert u” software developed by the Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA) was given to 4 organizations namely the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, Thai Airways International , Advanced Info Service (AIS), and Bangkok Hospital and its network. The software will be turned into an application for future use of emergency medical assistance.
“ilert u” is a software that helps people in need of medical assistance call emergency units. It tells the persons’ whereabouts as well as their emergency numbers. The software can be downloaded free of charge on to smart phones via Android operating system and iOS devices. |
