Beijing: According to the Beijing Red Cross, 20 new first-aid stations will be built by the end of 2013, and the number of first-aid stations will reach 150, the Beijing Daily reports.
Deputy Director of Beijing Red Cross LüShijie said that the new stations will be built in highly populated areas such as urban residential communities and areas with dense traffic. Each first-aid station will be equipped with at least one emergency vehicle, one doctor and one nurse. Additionally, there will be stretchers and a collection of medicine. The first-aid stations are the temporary stations for doctors and nurses. When accidents happen, they will rush to the scene and transport the patients to the nearest hospital.
