Training Begins for Quick Mobile Response


Patna: Bihar government and the JPNAIIMS will form Quick Mobile Response Teams (QMRTs) at all the primary health centres of the state. A 2-day training will be imparted to 5 representatives of each district by the surgery department of JPNAIIMS.

"The QMRT will consist of a doctor, a nurse, a paramedical staff and a police officer above the rank of ASI. They will be taught how to react in emergency situations like road or train accidents, burns, flood and earthquakes and other calamities," said Dr Vijay Sheel Gautam, HOD, surgery, JPNAIIMS, Patna. The teams will be provided emergency drugs and instruments. The team will also carry spine stabilizer, bone stabilizer and AMBU bag (to assist breathing), Dr Gautam said.
