Clark: At least 400 firefighters from different local government units, government agencies, and stakeholders will join the Clark International Airport Corp.'s (CIAC) 3rd Airport Emergency Full-Scale Exercise from August 13 to 15. The drill will be held in cooperation with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and the Philippine Red Cross III (PRC III).
"This emergency simulation will take place during the exercise that will test the skills of the fire fighters, security, airlines and medical teams in dealing with the aircraft that crash landed at the runways of Clark Airport," Primero said in a statement.
CIAC has 4 fire trucks and 2 ambulances that are currently operational. Also participating are various airlines and budget carriers currently flying in and out of Clark namely, Air Asia Philippines, Air Asia Malaysia, Cebu Pacific Air, Tiger Air Philippines, Asiana Airlines, Dragon Air, and Jin Air. |
