Red Cross Society Comes Up with Ambulance Service for Border Villages


Amritsar: MP Avinash Rai Khanna, vice chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, handed over an ambulance to the chairman of the Red Cross Society and Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha on 2 July (Monday). The well-equipped ambulance is a first for the District Red Cross Society and will be used to ferry patients from rural and border villages. Speaking to media persons, Khanna said the Red Cross Society had been building up infrastructure for its branches to help the needy in emergency.
