Another honor was obtained in the city of Cagayan de Oro under the supervision of Mayor Oscar Moreno. After the new regional office of Civil Defense released regional winners for the 2018 Gawad Kalasag awardees.
For the next 5 years, the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Department (CDRRMD) has fallen for the highly urbanized category. Aside from this, Oro Rescue has also acquired another Gawad Kalasag Award as Best Government Emergency Management System.
