Bangalore: Officials of BBMP and residents of BBMP South zone will soon be trained to handle disasters both - natural and man-made - thanks to an effort by Additional Commissioner Dr K V Thrilok Chandra and Deputy Commissioner Suresh.
A day-long training programme on ‘Incident Response System’ was organised for over 250 BBMP officials, including engineers, revenue officials and health inspectors in South zone.The training session was conducted by Raghu V, a master trainer of National Institute of Disaster Management.Enrolment for the training programme will be held across 44 wards in the city within the next 15 days.
Incident Response System is one of the modules in the guidelines of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Disaster Management Policy, 2009 framed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, National Institute of Disaster Management and National Disaster Management. |
