Gurgaon: The Gurgaon police on July 04 Thursday initiated a special drive to sensitise people about how to save accident victims. As part of the drive, training would be imparted to traffic policemen, riders and PCR staff to ensure survival of victims in critical situations.
Police commissioner Alok Mittal released a poster with instructions about emergency medical services.The city police plans to spread awareness among the public about how to safely rush victims to hospitals, without causing any further injury. “Generally, people try to make an accident victim sit. It can cause further damage to the patient if he/she has suffered neck or spinal injury. Internal bleeding can even cause brain haemorrhage,” said Dr Amar Chauhan, Ayushman Hospital and Trauma Centre. |
