Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is all set to roll out a one-year diploma programme in Disaster Management in Fire and Industrial Safety (DMFIS) to enable security guards to handle disasters like fires without waiting for specialist emergency services to arrive for rescue operations. \r\nThe disaster management cell has already prepared the course details, and, if all goes to plan, the first batch of the programme will attend classes at the Mumbai University\'s Kalina campus by June or July. |
