The World Health Organisation, the Federal Ministry of Health, Iraq and the Ninewa Department of Health have opened a trauma field hospital in Athba, 15 km from the war frontlines of west Mosul, Iraq. It has 2 operating theatres and 56 beds and services include advanced life support, definitive wound management, and a range of general and specialised lifesaving surgical capabilities.
