Japan-Style Disaster Program Sets Global Standard


A multinational team led by the Japan International Cooperation Agency has developed an emergency medical program for disaster-stricken countries in an attempt to cure people who are injured or sick by quickly assessing their medical needs, The Yomiuri Shimbun has learned.

The medical program is expected to be certified as a global standard at a meeting organized by the World Health Organization in Switzerland on 7 February.
