Dial 112 for all Emergency Services, Soon

Jakarta: The government will launch a trial of an integrated emergency services number, 112, which will connect to hospitals, fire stations and police stations in 100 cities across the country, in the fourth quarter of this year.

“The number 112 will be able to be dialed free of charge from a mobile phone. As long as you have a signal, you can dial the number and the operator will direct you [from there],” Communications and Information Minister Rudiantara said during a ceremony at the Regional Autonomy Institute in Jakarta on Tuesday (26 April).
