Karachi: Federal Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar on Friday (18 March) said poor health indicators were shameful for all and stressed that there was a need for coordinated efforts to improve the overall healthcare situation in the country.She said this at a programme held to distribute Chinese-donated ambulances among the provinces at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). \r\nThe Chinese government donated 80 modern life-saving ambulances to Pakistan, of which 20 each were given to Punjab and Sindh, 10 to Islamabad, 8 each to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, five each to Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and 4 to the federally-administered tribal areas. |
