City of Ilagan, Isabela – The provincial government here, through its Public Order and Safety department, is set to train at least 800 rescue volunteers next month. \r\nAtty. Constante Foronda, public order and safety head, said the 800 rescue volunteers are from the different government agencies based in the province to include the Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Air Force (PAF), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and some civil society organizations. At present, the province\'s Disaster Action Response Team (DART) 831 have only 30 rescue personnel who are 24 hours on-call during calamities and other emergencies. |
