Mumbai: With 200 of KEM Hospital’s staff on strike, the medical aid for emergency care in the hospital has been stalled on Monday(July 20). Patients from the emergency care from the hospital had to be transferred to Sion Hospital, located nearby, which was already overloaded throughout the day. Many cases were referred to private laboratories that charge Rs 2,500 for x-ray, which is conducted at Rs 150 at civic hospitals. |
