Odisha Tied-up with AIIMS, Bhubaneswar to Impart Training on Emergency, Trauma Care Services


Bhubaneswar: The State government has tied up with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar to impart training on emergency and trauma care services for reducing accident-related casualties. The National Health Mission (NHM) in association with AIIMS is set to establish a primary trauma care training network (PTTN) in the State that will strive to strengthen rescue and instant treatment mechanisms to reduce accident mortality and disabilities.

The PTTN would comprise doctors, nurses, paramedics and pharmacists who will handle emergency situations like serious road accidents and other disasters at their end without resorting to immediate referrals to higher institutions.
