Nusahaya: The Johor state government has requested 132 ambulances under the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP) allocation to meet the service requirements of all government hospitals throughout the state, said Health and Environmental Committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat.He said so far, Johor had 132 ambulances with 68 of them in hospitals, and another 64 at health clinics.
“Therefore, we have requested for another 132 new ambulances under 11MP and the decision on the request will be known in the third week of this month,\" said Ayub in reply to a question by Dr Sheikh Ibrahim (PAS-Sungai Abong) who raised the issue of a lack of ambulance services in the state, during its 13th assembly here on May 13. |
