George Town: The mass cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) exercise held in Han Chiang Indoor Stadium here on 15 March has made it into the Malaysia Book of Records by attracting about 7,500 participants.
The event has edged Johor\'s previous record of 4,459 people set in 2006.Organised by the state CPR society, the event started around 8am and saw police officers, Fire and Rescue Department personnel and secondary school students taking part in the learning of life-saving skills.
State Health committee chairman Dr AfifBahardin, who was present, said the main aim of the event was to raise awareness on the importance of providing CPR. |
