Meerut: The city is all set to get Uttar Pradesh\'s first fire tender cum ambulance. Officials said that a budget of Rs 50 lakh has been cleared for the same and that the fire tender cum ambulance will be brought to the city by the end of this month.
Explaining how the new machine will be of great help in dealing with emergencies, chief fire officer I S Soni said, \"In most fire incidents, though we manage to rescue most people, not all of them survive. The ones severely hurt need immediate medical attention which at times is not possible. That is why this fire tender cum ambulance will come handy in saving critical cases. The department is eagerly waiting for the new machine.\" |
