DOH Issues Guidelines for Medical Teams Volunteering for Ruby-hit Areas

The Department of Health has issued guidelines for local and foreign medical teams who want to help in disaster response efforts in the wake of Tropical Storm Ruby.

The DOH also stressed only registered organizations will be deployed to areas affected by Ruby, which has so far affected more than one million people.

\"For foreign medical teams (FMTs), the DOH will only accept Type 2 (Inpatient Surgical Emergency Care) medical teams and FMTs with existing partnerships with local government units for deployment sites,\" it said.
