Members of the Army serving the Security Force Headquarters, Central (SFHQ-C) at the request of hospital authorities at Kandy General Hospital, Peradeniya Teaching Hospital, Nuwara Eliya Base Hospital and Debarawewa Hospital volunteered and provided skeletal medical services when minor staff in those hospitals struck work on 30 July. \r\nArmy personnel of the 11 Division on the directions of its General Officer Commanding assisted the routine administration of the Kandy, Peradeniya and Nuwara Eliya hospitals, particularly in relation to emergency and essential services. |
