Dhaka: A total of 1,327 medical teams have been kept ready in 13 coastal districts to provide emergency medical services if cyclonic storm ‘Mahasen’ hits Bangladesh.Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque said this at a briefing held at the Health Ministry on May 15 Wednesday. “There are 6 doctors in each team,” he said.
“Necessary medicines have already been sent to the districts and the holidays of officials and employees of different bodies under the Health and Family Planning Ministries have been cancelled,” the minister added.He also said a total of 2,968 permanent and temporary shelter centres have been kept ready to evacuate people.
